More about Nichol
When I think back, I’ve been working in person centred roles for as long as I can remember... I have a vivid memory of my Uni application, read out in front of the 6th form class (mortifying at 18) saying ‘I understand the impact of my communications on others’, that said 20 odd (cough) years later and I’m still learning and figuring that out... from being a care assistant for older people, a carer for young people with disabilities, a HR manager, trainer, coach, leader, OD practitioner and senior manager across the NHS and non-profit sectors, I reckon it’s been the biggest and most important part of my job.
I have a real drive and passion to be the best I can be, to seek harmony and balance in my life and how I can use my skills in leading, communicating, teaching and coaching to support others achieve their potential and the outcomes they want for themselves.
If I was asked to describe Bethany in 3 words I’d say honest, bright and funny… (I’d add more, as rules are made to be broken and add organised, efficient and capable too!)
I’m a voracious book worm and movie buff and whilst I couldn’t name a favourite, The Green Mile would be up there in both categories, I have an exuberant family, a menagerie of animals, an army of fabulous shoes and change my hair colour as often as I can!
Am I qualified?...
Yes, I am! I’m an experienced senior leader having led the implementation of people strategies and led teams in large, complex, unionised organisations. I’m a CIPD Fellow and been a member of the CIPD for over 20 years, an ILM 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching, an NLP practitioner, trained facilitator, trained mediator and expert trainer. I’ve a BA Hons in Applied Social Sciences and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
